MSWG's mission has always focused on strategies to enhance environmental performance.  In 2009, when EPA suspended the National Performance Track program, MSWG wrote a letter expressing its concerns about the need to continue dialogue on environmental stewardship and sustainability strategies.  Here are the MSWG letter and EPA response. 

 In 2010, MSWG organized a series of workshops to examine the business case for government for enhancing environmental performance. 

Now, MSWG has developed a New Value Proposition and an Action Plan for implementing these concepts.
